Spring is Here!

The sun is shining, most of the birds are singing and I have just got back from a lambing event. If those are not good enough reasons that Spring is on its way then I do not know what is. After such an awful, cold, snowy, rainy winter I think its time we had some warm, sunny weather.

London Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week have all come to a close meaning that the world's most prestigious designers have shown off their Spring/summer collections. In London Fashion Week the main focus was on simple styles: utility wear for the day and mini cocktail dresses for the night. There is not really one colour that is the "it" colour this season however, the Spring/summer shows featured a lot of bright, clashing colours as well as monochrome looks. Bright blues and tangerine oranges played a huge role in the season's trends.

On the high street expect to see people wearing cute candy coloured dresses like this one from Topshop http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=2324938&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208491&parent_categoryId=&sort_field=Relevance&pageSize=20
as well as tapered trousers and chinos. White on white is no longer a fashion faux pas. Think white dresses with white shoes, white tops with white trousers and white bikinis, white bags and white hats.

Bring on the sun!
