Royal weddings, white lace and patriots

Television Fashion: Coronation Street

When you think of fashionable TV shows, Coronation Street is probably not the first name that comes to mind. In fact, you probably don't consider it at all. On the show most of the people dress like, for lack of a better word, chavs. However the Soap Awards happen to be a very glamorous event. Below are some of Coronation Street's most fashionable stars:

Samia Ghadie plays Maria Connor. Here she is seen in a gorgeous coral bodycon dress with a white clutch and peach heels. She looks natural and smiley. The colours contrast well with her skin. Her hair looks glossy as usual and her pose is classy.

V-back lace and chiffon dress, £40.00, Jane Norman

Helen Flanagan plays Rosie Webster. Here she wears a beautiful embelished LBD with nude platforms and a matching clutch. Black and nude contrast really well together. Her dangly earring are very trendy. She looks more natural than her character but very pretty and her hair is sleek and chic.

Brooke Vincent who plays Sophie Webster definately knows where to shop. She was at Lipsy the very day of its Manchester opening. As anyone who loves shopping will know, when a new trendy store like Lipsy opens it is quite a formal event and she balances the formality and casualness of this event very well. Her pleated top is very in season and her shoes are magnificent.
This doesn't look like what Brooke is wearing above but it is just as gorgeous and who's to say that it isn't hiding in that Lipsy bag? Smock dress with lace hem detail, £50.00, Lipsy

Katherine Kelly plays Becky McDonald. Here she wears an attractive blue shift dress with nude shoes very similar to Helen's. Her silver clutch goes well with her light blue dress. Her eye makeup and hair give her a sophisticated look.

Whinfell dress, £49.00, Jack Wills

Alison King plays Carla Connor. Alison always seems to pull off wearing black on screen and off and the photo above is no exception. Perhaps it is the colour of her hair or the shade of her skin but she looks brilliant in this dazziling dress. The gold clutch finishes the look perfectly.
Jersey maxi dress, £17.99, New Look

Kym Marsh plays Michelle Connor. Sheer sleeves are very trendy at the moment and this dark blue dress look delightful, especially with the intricate embelished pearl neckline.

Crafted Peter Pan Smock Dress, £32.99, Republic

Sacha Parkinson plays Sian Powers. Who says grey has to be boring? This dress is lovely. It is quite elaborate so she is right to pair it with simple accessories. She never fails to look good with her hair in a messy bun.
Tie frill dress, £24.00, Paprika

Michelle Keegan plays Tina McIntyre. I do not know anyone (boys and girls alike) who does not think Michelle is stunning. From her skin to her hair to her face, she seems flawless and here is no exception. She looks fabulous in the dress. White suits her so well and it is also very trendy to wear all white at the moment.

White waisted maxi dress, $24.99, River Island

Coronation Street's trendy stars attending a Mancester fashion show in March last year. The temperatures were near freezing but vanity suffers, eh?
Brooke looked amazing last September when she posed in a one-off dress inspired by Stilton Cheese especially for London Fashion Week. This just shows how involved in the fashion industry soapstars can be.

Brooke at the Lipsy Fashion party. Jacket envy.

Michelle Keegan might always win "Sexiest Female" at the soap awards but if (which I think there should be) there was an award for Trendiest Soapstar I think it would have to go to Brooke for she is not only stylish but she has done some modelling too and she appears at fashion shows and fashion parties.
