Pretty Passion
Once Upon a time joined the Snow White bandwagon that I discussed in the Pretty Passion a few weeks ago. Last episode was about Cinderella's deal with Rumplestiltskin. When you say the names Cinderella and Rumplestiltskin in the same sentence it doesn't sound like you are going to be taken seriously but this twisted fairytale has a darker, grittier side; a more real side. It explores issues such as teenage pregnancy, buying/selling children and being a single mother. The scene above really inspired me because I think what she says to Cinderella (the pregnant one) is true to all things in life, not just teenage pregnancy. My favourite quote is "People are gonna tell you who you are your whole life. You've just got to punch back and say no, this is who I am."
